Why chooseAaron’s place?
Learn more about our unique approach to substance use support and education for young people.
As an evidence-based, year-round therapeutic intervention and mentoring program, Aaron’s Place focuses on empowering children and teens affected by substance use disorder. This includes building trust, creating a sense of community, having fun, and so much more!
Whether attending Camp Mariposa (our camp for 9-12 year olds) or APEX (our after-school program for 13-17 year olds), programs are structured around your child’s other commitments, with activities they can both enjoy and learn from.

The Key Tent-Poles of Aaron’s Place
We use multiple approaches to prevent drug use among youth, building on three key areas.

Community

Education

Empowerment
A Curriculum Based on Understanding
Key to all Aaron’s Place programs is the 7 C’s, which help mentors to guide your child through understanding the effects of their decisions.
Join the Team
Our mentors and volunteers are here to help your child become a part of a larger community and understand how they can prevent drug use in the future. All team members are trained by a licensed mental health practitioner on the effects of addiction on the brain and the prevalence of shame and stigma related to it for family members.
