Become a Camp Mentor
Becoming a camp mentor is an incredibly rewarding experience. As a camp mentor, you will help facilitate Camp Mariposa along with activities outside of camp and meeting dates.
During Weekend Camps
- Attend camp six weekends per year
- Help run camp activities
- Help empower camp participants to make positive choices
Outside Camp
- Attend occasional activities outside of camp hours
- Attend training sessions around trauma-informed care
Requirements
Be patient and supportive with camp attendees
Be able to attend six weekend camps over the course of a year
Some experience in the mental health/substance use field and/or working with youth is preferred

Become a Teen Program Mentor
As a mentor for the Aaron’s Place Exchange teen program, you’ll help teens affected by substance use disorder in an after-school setting, along with activities outside of session dates.
During Afterschool Sessions
- Attend sessions 8/12 times a year
- Help run session activities
- Help empower camp participants to make positive choices
Outside Sessions
- Attend occasional activities outside of program hours
- Attend training sessions around trauma-informed care
Requirements
Be patient and supportive with attendees
Be able to attend 8/12 monthly sessions over the course of a year
Some experience in the mental health/substance use field and/or working with youth is preferred

Become a Volunteer at Aaron’s Place
